As I am dyeing....

The last few days we had a few chances for family activities, which gave opportunity for these photos, amongst a few others.

We went to see an exciting basketball game, too.
And today I started dyeing the next instalment of my fabric club. It is always interesting to experience how dyeing affects me. When I start mixing the color, filling the buckets with water, my head starts spinning. I get a lot of ideas which kinds of color combinations I could also try out. But because I wear rubber gloves, I can't normally write them down, and because they come in such huge numbers it is simply not possible to keep track of them and remember them all. Which in the end leaves me quite exhausted, because of all the non-realized ideas.
Sewing these days is slow, but steady. But nothing to show right here, just yet. Waiting for news from Birmingham, too...

  1. You need something like a voice recorder. or put a cover on your phone/computer keyboard and type the ideas. A bit like covering the cash till register and using gloves for people who sell fudge at shows.

    1. That certainly is a good idea, Sandy. However, the computer is on my desk on the first floor, and dyeing takes place in the basement! This is probably where all those sci-fi-ideas come in that are getting more real with every digital gadget on the market. Connect a wire to one's brain and then nothing will ever get lost.
Perhaps I can take that some ideas will just fade away, rather than wiring myself up like that!

  2. Do you know anyone that has heard from Festival of Quilts? I am curious to see the list of finalists for the Art Masters category. I couldn't see anything on the website.
